Yes. Share any video or playlist from YouTube and Avan Link picks up the thumbnail, title, and channel automatically. You can watch it directly from your bookmarks.

Can I save Facebook videos and posts?

Yes, same Share button — works identically to Instagram or any other app on your phone.

Does it track Amazon product prices?

Yes. Save a product page and Avan Link watches the price for you. There's a price history chart inside the app so you can see how it's moved over time.

How is this different from other bookmark managers?

Most bookmark apps are good for collections you curate manually. Avan Link is for everything you find during the day — it tags automatically, tracks prices, and works from the Android Share sheet without switching apps. The core is free.

I use a read-later app. Will I miss anything?

Read-later apps are great for articles. Avan Link does that — plus it saves videos, products, and social posts, not just text. And it doesn't cap your library on the free plan.

Can I save links that people send me on WhatsApp?

Yes. Tap and hold any link in WhatsApp, hit Share, choose Avan Link. Done.

Why isn't it on the Play Store yet?

We're in early access. The Play Store submission is in progress. The APK here is the same build — we just wanted people to start using it before the listing is live.

Is it safe to install an APK outside the Play Store?

Yes. The APK is published on GitHub Releases, which is version-controlled and tamper-evident. You can check the SHA-256 checksum on the Releases page if you want to verify it.

What Android version do I need?

Android 8.0 or above — which is 97%+ of phones in use today.

Does the Chrome extension work on Edge and Brave?

Yes — any Chromium browser: Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi.

Download & Extract

Download the ZIP file and extract it to a permanent folder on your computer. Don't delete this folder after installation.

Open Extensions

Go to chrome://extensions in Chrome, edge://extensions in Edge, or brave://extensions in Brave.

Enable Developer Mode

Toggle Developer mode ON — top-right corner of the extensions page.

Load Unpacked

Click "Load unpacked" and select the folder where you extracted the ZIP.

Pin & Open

Click the puzzle icon in the toolbar and pin Avan Link. Press Ctrl+Shift+V (or Cmd+Shift+V on Mac) to open the sidebar.
