Avan Link ("Service") is operated by Avan Labs ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.

Account Data: Email address and authentication details when you sign up.

Bookmark Data: URLs, titles, descriptions, tags, folders, and any comments or notes you add through the Service or Chrome extension.

Usage Data: Pages visited within the Service, features used, click interactions, timestamps, and general usage patterns.

Device & Browser Data: Browser type, operating system, and device information collected automatically for compatibility and debugging purposes.

Shared Content Data: When you share a folder or tag publicly, we collect view counts, import counts, and click analytics on shared links.

We use your data for the following purposes:

• Providing the Service: Storing and syncing your bookmarks, organizing content, and enabling sharing features
• AI Features: Powering AI-based categorization, tagging, and search functionality
• Training & Quality Improvement: Using bookmark data, usage patterns, and interaction data to train and improve our AI models, algorithms, and recommendation systems
• Analytics & Service Improvement: Understanding how the Service is used to improve features and user experience
• Security: Detecting abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access

Where possible, data used for training and analytics will be anonymized or aggregated.

The Avan Link Chrome extension accesses your browser bookmarks to sync them with the Service. The extension:

• Reads bookmark URLs, titles, and folder structure from your browser
• Sends this data to our servers for storage and AI processing
• Does not access browsing history, passwords, or other personal data
• Only activates when you explicitly trigger a sync

Your data is stored on Supabase (cloud infrastructure). We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security policies, and secure authentication. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — especially during the beta period.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: Infrastructure providers (Supabase, Cloudflare) that help us operate the Service
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process
• Public Sharing: Content you choose to share publicly (shared folders/tags) is accessible to anyone with the link

You have the right to:

• Access your data through the dashboard
• Delete your bookmarks, folders, tags, and shared links at any time
• Request account deletion by contacting us
• Export your bookmark data

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe. Anonymized or aggregated data used for training purposes may be retained indefinitely.

The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
