Terms of Service

Last updated: August 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Avan Link ("Service"), including our website, Chrome extension, Android application, and any related services operated by Avan Labs ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility — Age Requirement

You must be 18 years of age or older to use this Service. As required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023, we classify anyone under 18 as a "child" and do not knowingly permit minors to use the Service without verified parental consent. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to be held by minors.

3. Beta Disclaimer

Avan Link is currently in beta. The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, reliability, accuracy, or completeness of the Service. Features may change, break, or be removed without prior notice.

4. Complimentary & Coupon-Granted Pro Access

Avan Link may offer complimentary Pro access to early users, or grant it through coupon codes and promotional offers, at its sole discretion. Where Pro access is provided at no cost, it may be modified, limited, or revoked at any time without prior notice, at Avan Labs' sole discretion. Such benefits do not constitute a binding offer, a subscription, or a contractual entitlement to continued Pro access.

This section does not apply to Pro access you have paid for. Purchased access is governed by Section 5 below.

5. Paid Purchases

Avan Link offers one-time purchases, not subscriptions. A purchase grants either a fixed period of Pro access or a fixed quantity of Mudra credits, as described at the point of purchase.
  • No automatic renewal. We do not store your card details and do not create any recurring mandate, standing instruction, or auto-debit. Nothing is charged again unless you make another purchase.
  • Delivery. Access or credits are applied to your account as soon as payment is confirmed. Where confirmation is delayed, delivery completes once our systems reconcile the payment.
  • Pricing. The amount payable is the amount shown to you at checkout at the time of purchase. We may change pricing at any time; changes apply only to purchases made afterwards and never alter a purchase already completed.
  • Paid access is not revoked at will. Pro access you have paid for runs for the period purchased and will not be withdrawn during that period, except where your account is suspended or terminated under Section 12.
  • Extension, not replacement. Where you already hold Pro access, a further purchase adds to your remaining time rather than replacing it.

6. Mudra Credits

Mudra are prepaid credits used to access AI and agent features within the Service. They are a limited, revocable licence to use those features — not money, not a stored-value instrument, and not a deposit.
  • Mudra have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred outside the Service except through features we expressly provide.
  • Mudra granted free of charge, including monthly allowances, expire on the schedule shown in your account and do not carry over unless stated otherwise.
  • Purchased Mudra expire on the date shown against them in your account.
  • Expired or unused Mudra are not refundable and are not reinstated.

7. Payments, Cancellation & Refunds

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card details at any time. Your use of the payment provider's checkout is additionally subject to that provider's own terms.

Because purchases are one-time and delivered immediately, they are final and non-refundable, subject to the exceptions set out in full in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. That policy also explains how to raise a billing query and the timelines within which we respond.

8. Data Loss Disclaimer

During the beta period, data loss may occur due to bugs, infrastructure changes, or service updates. While we make reasonable efforts to protect your data, we do not guarantee against data loss. We recommend keeping your own backups of important bookmarks.

9. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must provide accurate information during sign-up. One account per person; sharing accounts is not permitted.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:
  • Store, share, or distribute illegal, harmful, or objectionable content
  • Share links to malware, phishing, or fraudulent websites
  • Spam, harass, or abuse other users
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws, including Indian law

11. Publication Standards

Storing content and publishing it are governed by different standards. Content you keep privately in your account is subject only to Section 10. Content you make publicly accessible — shared folders, shared tags, public hubs, or any page we surface on our own domain — must additionally meet the standards below.

We do not publish, and may remove without prior notice, publicly shared content that consists of or promotes:

  • Pornographic or sexually explicit imagery
  • The commercial sale of sexual products, including toys, fetishwear, and lubricants
  • Malware, phishing, or fraudulent websites
  • Spam, including content published primarily to obtain search-engine backlinks
  • Anything otherwise prohibited under Section 10

These standards apply to the nature of the content itself and are applied identically to all users, regardless of the audience, community, or demographic a site or service is intended for.

We reserve the right to disable public sharing for any account at our discretion. Where we do, previously published pages are withdrawn immediately. This does not affect your ability to store, access, or export your own data, which remains fully available to you. Repeated or severe violations may additionally result in suspension or termination under Section 12.

12. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently disable any account at our sole discretion, including but not limited to cases of:
  • Violation of these Terms or our Acceptable Use policy
  • Sharing objectionable or illegal content
  • Abuse of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Any activity we deem harmful to the Service or its users
You may also delete your own account at any time from the Settings page.

13. Data Usage & Consent

By using the Service, you provide your free, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent (as required under the DPDP Act, 2023) for us to process your personal data for the following purposes:
  • Service delivery: Storing and syncing your bookmarks, folders, and tags
  • AI features: Powering AI-based categorization, tagging, and search
  • Quality improvement: Improving our algorithms and user experience
  • Analytics: Understanding usage patterns (anonymized where possible)
You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account from Settings or by contacting us at [email protected].

14. Intellectual Property

Avan Link and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Avan Labs. You retain ownership of any content (bookmarks, descriptions, notes) you add to the Service.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Avan Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India. Users accessing the Service from outside India acknowledge that their data will be processed under Indian law.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Where changes materially affect your rights under the DPDP Act, we will re-seek your consent before continuing to process your data.

18. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023, you may contact our Grievance Officer for any data-related concerns:
